Israeli singer and actor Yehonathan Gatro’s video “Waiting For You Tel Aviv” is now playing on our video sharing website “Planet Q TV“.  Yehonathan began his musical career in 2000 producing a string of records sung in his native tongue of Hebrew.   He enjoyed success early on in his career and two years later decided to move to the United States and study acting in Los Angeles.  While learning and improving on his acting skills, he continued to sing and produce music and even enjoyed a part in the highly-provocative Israeli TV series called “The Ran Quartet”.   Yehonathan played a character named Nadav, a sexually-charged young man embroiled in the world of Tel Aviv’s pulsating gay scene.

It is only recently that he has chosen to reach out to his English speaking fans with his music.  In May of 2009, the album “My Turn” represented his first, full-length English album and EP.   And his video – “Just Another Summer”  - receives its worldwide premiere on the Logo TV network.  Yehonathan was introduced to America via Instinct Magazine as their featured cover man with an exclusive interview spread (if you want to check it out, look for the May 2009 issue!!).  His American popularity has taken off ever since.  In 2010, he released his second full length English album “Remember When” and he just finished up his successful and first ever US tour.

On September 4th, he heads to Cyprus to celebrate the 5th anniversary of Secrets Freedom Club with a live performance.  You can learn more about Yehonathan by visiting his website: yehonathan.com/site.  Look for more of his videos on Planet Q TV.

  2. Steven,

Coming out is personal and takes time. Don’t rush it and don’t do before you are ready. Take the time to know yourself and who you are, develop your own personality and characteristics that define you – be comfortable with yourself. Once you clear that hurdle, than the take the small steps to telling others around you. There is no hurry and there is no easy answer to this question but there is a lot of support out there for you.

    Good luck!!
